Kohlrabi fries from the hot air fryer

Kohlrabi fries from the hot air fryer

When I used to think of chips, for me it was synonymous with greasy, unhealthy and usually a bit too much of a good thing, but also delicious. And to be honest: I love snacks. Crispy, savory, preferably with a dip. These delicious kohlrabi fries from the hot air fryer are a healthy alternative.

In chips form and with a few good spices, good old kohlrabi is transformed into a real crispy dream. It is super low in calories, has a totally mild taste and absorbs spices really well.

For me, the best thing about kohlrabi fries is that they go really quickly. If I don’t feel like cooking much after a long day at work, I simply cut a kohlrabi into sticks, season it to my liking and throw everything into the hot air fryer. A healthy snack is on the table in under 15 minutes. And no, you really can’t taste any “vegetable flavor”, in case that’s what you’re thinking.

I love chips as a small snack in the evening, preferably with a yogurt and fresh herb dip. Whether with baked vegetables, grilled fish or even simply with a fried egg: kohlrabi fries almost always go well.
