  • At the moment, one ice cream recipe follows the next. But it’s also just far too warm to cook properly at the moment. So it’s a good idea to try out some delicious new ice cream recipes and prepare a tasty cooling dessert at the same time. Today we have a vegan ice cream that also uses really few ingredients: vegan banana chocolate ice cream!

    Ripe bananas are used as the base for this vegan ice cream. When I say ripe, I really mean ripe. Normally, all my bananas have to be destroyed before the first dark spots appear. For this recipe, the bananas should already have formed some dark spots, because it is precisely this heavy, sweet, slightly tart taste that goes perfectly with the cocoa powder. The recipe is therefore also perfect for using up leftovers. No more overripe bananas will be thrown away.

     2 ripe bananas
     1 Tbsp baking cocoa
     Sweetener of your choice

    Banana chocolate ice cream

    Preparation:

    1. peel the bananas and mash them in the Ninja Creami** container.

    2. add the cocoa powder and a sweetener of your choice. Then mix everything together well.

    3. freeze for at least 12 hours.

    4. allow to thaw for approx. 20 minutes before processing. Then process into creamy vegan ice cream using the light ice cream mode. If necessary, repeat with the respin mode until the desired consistency is achieved.
