Summer is finally here, at least it feels like it, and what could be better than a fruity, fresh cocktail in ice cream form? The Mai Tai is one of the classic cocktail recipes. Fruity, sweet, a little nutty and above all: pure vacation feeling! What a “meh” day for you today? Then this delicious Mai Tai ice cream from Ninja Creami** is just the thing. Because even the first spoonful will put you in a better mood. I think that’s exactly what a good ice cream should do: Awaken emotions and preferably positive ones, of course.
The ice cream turned out super creamy and really velvety on the tongue. The combination of lime juice and almond syrup gives it a refreshing, slightly nutty depth that harmonizes perfectly with the fruity orange flavour.
If you want to prepare the ice cream with alcohol, you can add a shot of rum before the respin.

If you want to make the Mai Tai ice cream simpler, you can simply leave out the almond syrup and have a delicious pineapple orange ice cream.
You can find the other cocktail ice cream recipes for the Ninja Creami here.

Place the pineapple, orange, and juice of half a lime in a Ninja Creami container. Puree everything together with a hand blender.
Add almond syrup, season to taste, and add a little sugar if necessary.
Freeze for at least 24 hours.
Select the sorbet mode.
If the ice cream is still powdery, select another respin cycle. If you want to add alcohol to the ice cream, now is the right time to do so.
