Strawberry season is just around the corner and you can get in the mood with a delicious strawberry and mango sorbet. For me, strawberry season is one of my favorite harvest times of the year and so every year we make at least one visit to the strawberry field to pick our own. If you have enough space in the freezer, you can keep your home-picked strawberries frozen for a few months to extend the strawberry season.
This strawberry and mango sorbet from Ninja Creami** is super fruity and tastes just like summer on a spoon. I have added some basil for a very special touch, but you can of course leave it out. During preparation, the sorbet mixture almost looks a bit like tomato sauce, but the last bits disappear after the Ninja Creami** has blended everything until creamy. It’s best to carefully feel out the intensity here, as just a few leaves of basil give the sorbet an intense flavor.
Have you ever guessed the taste of different types of ice cream with your friends? The strawberry and mango sorbet with basil is perfect for this.
